Go to the telnet menu to get the IP address and the user/password CALL TELCNNCL
Telnet 'ipnumber' (f4 to prompt) , pae down until you see Remote Virtual Display, Remote User and remote password and fill in these values.
The remote virtual display is normally prefixed with METAL* - sometime it is QSEC*
To setup a 'backdoor' to sign onto QCTL, use the WRKSBSD QCTL command:
Take the option for workstation name entries.
The setup must be in place before we can telnet tand sign into QCTL instead of QINTER.
Determine the device prefix to sign into *QCTL
DSPSBSD QCTL- then use F4 to determine the device prefix required to sign into qctl, in the event that qinter is down. Most customers are setup as METAL*, some may be QSEC*
If nothing is setup you may use the ADDWSE command to set it up.
